Community Engagement Team

The Community Engagement Team is composed of representation of each public school in the district, representing the diverse school communities, including students (high school only), parents/guardians, and staff. These members were selected by working with the school principals and are by invitation only.  The Community Engagement Team will assist with the process by ensuring communication of the work, timeline, and community engagement opportunities by sharing information on surveys and community engagement events through school, community, and social media resources.

Community Forums

The school system will host two open invitation community forums, in which the community at large will have an opportunity to provide input into the St. Mary’s County Public Schools Facility Utilization and School Boundary Study goals and priorities, review possible options, and provide feedback through online surveys.  The community will also have the opportunity to provide comment on the final recommendations at a public hearing to be held in January 2026 on February 18, 2026.
