Naviance Scope and Sequence

District Goals  

  • Ensure that all students are prepared for success upon high school graduation by demonstrating readiness for postsecondary study and/or the workforce. 
  • Help students identify personal skills, interests, and abilities, and relate them to career choices. 
  • Increase student awareness of financial aid options available for higher education.  
  • Help students make constructive and healthy decisions that promote personal well-being and positive social behavior.  
  • Empower students to take ownership of learning.

 Middle School

The career awareness and planning tools in Naviance assist students with realizing personal skills, values, and interests and how to translate these into future careers.  Naviance promotes middle school students awareness of career clusters and potential pathways to careers of interest.

High School

Helping students picture their future encourages engagement in school. The career planning tools in Naviance assists students in realizing their strengths, skills, and interests as they work toward a career path that is inspiring to them. The Naviance college planning tool allows students and their families to explore and compare colleges across a variety of criteria including academic program, student population, admission rate, cost, and student retention rate.
