Assistive Technology
The St. Mary’s County Public School’s Assistive Technology Program provides support for students with a wide range of assistive technology needs from infant/toddler through age 21. The program provides a continuum of support services to schools on a variety of levels from informal consultations to direct services. Such services include:
- Facilitating the assistive technology consultation process as recommended through the IFSP/IEP process;
- Assisting with the selection and acquisition of assistive technology equipment; and
- Providing training in the use of assistive technology to professionals, students, and families.
