Laptop Chargers

Overview

Each student in grades 3-12 at SMCPS is issued a laptop and a charger. If a student loses or misplaces their charger, families can follow the guidance below on purchasing a replacement charger.  If the charger stopped working on its own (not due to damage), the school may be able to provide a free replacement with support from the IT Help Desk.

Schools do not have extra laptop chargers to lend or give to students until they purchase one. We have worked closely with Dell to make the process as fluid as possible.

Please be sure you are purchasing a Dell-branded charger and that you are purchasing the correct charger type for the specific laptop model to prevent voiding any manufacturer warranty.

Dell 5% Discount

1. Go to https://www.dell.com/myaccount/en-us/membership

2. Login or create a Dell account (Use a personal email address).
3. Look for the Associations section and Click Verify Association Status
4. Enter SMCPS_US in the Association passcode box.
5. Check the box to Use my account email address.
6. If there is a check box to Join Dell Rewards, check that. This is required by Dell.
7. Click the Verify Passcode Button.

Now all eligible items (including all chargers) will automatically include a 5% discount when checking out.
