The Board of Education of St. Mary’s County on behalf of St. Mary’s County Public Schools (SMCPS) is requesting sealed bids from experienced and qualified Contractors to provide services for fire alarm and intrusion detection system monitoring, reporting, and maintenance. The selected contractors shall provide monitoring, reporting, testing, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm, fire protection, and intrusion alarm systems for all SMCPS schools and administrative buildings in accordance with the most recent standards set forth by the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) and any other present day local, state, federal, and NFPA codes or requirements. Contractors responding to this ITB must be available by telephone twenty-four (24) hours a day, three hundred and sixty-five (365) days a year, and be able to arrive at a worksite within two (2) hours of receiving an emergency call from SMCPS.

The resulting contract shall be awarded for a period of one (1) year. SMCPS reserves the right to award the requirements of this bid in total or in part as it determines to be in the best interest of
