The Department of Design and Construction is responsible for the design and construction of capital improvements for the school system. Design consultants and construction contracts are procured directly by the department. The department typically has $30-$50 million in projects under management in various phases from planning to warranty. The department strives to involve all constituent groups in the planning of facilities.
