LEONARDTOWN, MD - The Mental Health and Wellness Education Fair will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. St. Mary’s County Public Schools are partnering with the Healthy St. Mary’s Partnership to host approximately 50 community partners including Mental and Behavioral Health Providers, guest speakers, mini-educational sessions, and other wellness support services.

Guest speakers will provide information on Teen Dating Violence, Teen Mental Health, QPR Suicide Prevention, Psychotropic Medications, and Internet Safety including Human Trafficking. Mini Educational Sessions will be offered on the following topics: Signs and Symptoms of Mental Health Concerns, Disordered Eating, Healthy Eating Habits, Building Emotional Well-being, Understanding and Supporting Identities, Addiction Awareness, and Stress Management. Therapy pets, hearing and vision screening, nutritional information, and dental hygiene kits will be on-site.  Admission is free and transportation from Lexington Park Elementary School, George Washington Carver Elementary School, and Greenview Knolls Elementary School will be available.
