Early Childhood Language & Foundational Literacy Training Workshop For Childcare Providers and Partners

LEONARDTOWN, MD –   There will be an Early Childhood Language & Foundational  Literacy Training on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the St. Mary’s County Public Schools Board Meeting Room located at 23160 Moakley Street, Leonardtown, MD. 20650.  This workshop is designed for childcare providers and early childhood partners in St. Mary’s County. Maryland’s Core of Knowledge Hours have been approved by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) for this workshop and will be available for participants to assist with meeting childcare training requirements.

This professional development opportunity will be provided by early learning expert Sharon Ward and St. Mary’s County Public Schools (SMCPS) early childhood leadership team members. Mrs. Ward is a highly skilled and experienced early childhood educator. She is a licensed speech/language pathologist, a former elementary school principal, and supervisor of early childhood instruction.
