SMCPS
Proposed amendments to the 2023-2024 school year calendar were presented at the June 21, 2023, Board of Education meeting. The draft amended calendar is posted at www.smcps.org/calendar. As a result of a change in the Primary Election day to May 14, 2024, SMCPS has to adjust the school year calendar for 2023-2024 to reschedule that day in order to meet the 180 day requirement. The proposal includes moving the final day of the 2023-2024 school year to June 13 to adjust for the Primary Election Day and the conversion of four early dismissal days to virtual instruction days. A survey is open to provide feedback on the draft calendar.
