LEONARDTOWN, MD – Superintendent of Schools, Dr. J. Scott Smith, announces the administrative appointments made by the Board of Education at its meeting of September 25, 2024.

The Board appointed Ms. Tammy McCourt as Deputy Superintendent of Fiscal and Supporting Services.  Ms. McCourt holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Maryland College Park and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland University College.  Ms. McCourt currently serves as an Assistant Superintendent of Fiscal Services.

Ms. Hattie Webb has been appointed Assistant Principal, 11 month, at Great Mills High School.  Ms. Webb holds a Master’s Degree from The College of William and Mary and a Bachelor’s Degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Ms. Webb currently serves as a Mathematics Teacher at Great Mills High School. 

Ms. McCourt’s appointment will be retroactive to August 28, 2024.

Ms. Webb’s appointment will become effective September 30, 2024.
