Wellness Coordinators

Starting in the Fall of 2018, Wellness Coordinators were established at each public school. Their job was to promote wellness activities at their school, help implement the wellness policy, and be their school's representative on the St. Mary's County School Health Council.

Wellness Coordinators will:

•  Promote wellness initiatives at every school by establishing and implementing site based wellness goals.

• Offer opportunities for students to participate in school site based wellness activities during and outside of the normal school day.

• Increase parent/guardian awareness of activities that promote healthy lifestyles.
