2013 SUMMER SPACE CAMP

SMCPS, in conjunction with The Patuxent Partnership, is pleased to announce the seventh annual 2013 Summer Space Camp. We offer all day sessions for students entering grades 2 - 11.

The 2013 Space Camp programs will occur during the weeks of July 15 - 18, 2013 and July 22 - 25, 2013.

Tuition for this program is $85.00.

Registration for the 2013 Space Camp programs will continue until all spaces are filled. Wait lists will be formed after sessions are filled.

2013 FINE ARTS CAMP (for Elementary and Middle)

St. Mary's County Public Schools will be sponsoring the Summer Fine Arts Camp for students completing grades 3 - 8. The goal of this program is to provide opportunities for students to participate in enrichment activities in one of the following ourse areas: band, chorus, orchestra, theatre, and visual arts. This camp is partially funded through a grant from the St. Mary's County Arts Council.

Each day students will have two sessions in their course area, one session incorporating reading and writing in their course area, and one session in movement. It will be a week filled with activities, skills, fun, and friends.

Elementary Camp Session will be June 24 - 27, 2013 (Evening of the Arts - Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.)

Middle School Camp Session will be July 8 - 11, 2013 (Evening of the Arts - Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.)

All sessions will be held 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at Leonardtown High School. All students are expected to participate in the Evening of the Arts on the final day of their camp.

Tuition for this program is $140.00 for St. Mary's County residents and $190.00 for out-of-county participants.

The tuition is non-refundable.

Elementary Fine Arts Camp - June 24 - 27, 2013

Middle School Fine Arts Camp - July 8 - 11, 2013

Students will need to provide their own transportation to Leonardtown High School and their own lunch. The camp will provide a morning and afternoon snack.

Students in band and orchestra will need to provide their instrument and any necessary supplies (reeds, strings, etc.). Band and orchestra students need to have completed one year of instruction in their school before camp begins.  The camp will provide all other supplies.

2013 TECH KIDS SUMMER CAMP

St. Mary's County Public Schools will happy to announce the second annual Tech Kids Summer Youth Enrichment Program for students ages 8 - 15. This program will be held at the Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center
and each session will run half a day. The goal of this program is to provide fun, enriching, hands on opportunities for students.

Supervision will be provided from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. for those students wishing to attend two sessions per day. Students may bring a bag lunch.

Tuition for this program is $75.00 (plus any materials fee) for St. Mary's County residents and $125.00 (plus any materials fee) for out-of-county participants.

The Lights, Camera, Action program is an all day session so the tuition is $150.00.

The tuition is non-refundable.

Students will need to provide their own transportation to the Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center, located between Leonardtown Middle School and Leonardtown High School.
