ADMINISTRATIVE APPOINTMENT ANNOUNCED

LEONARDTOWN, MD – Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Michael J. Martirano , announces the administrative appointment made by the Board of Education at its meeting of September 29, 2009.

The Board appointed Mr. Ashley Varner to the position of operations specialist in the Division of Supporting Services.  Mr. Varner currently serves as vice president and financial advisor for the Varner Financial Group. His experience also includes serving as a classroom teacher for St. Mary’s County Public Schools, and a counselor for Adelphoi Village in Latrobe, PA.  Mr. Varner earned a Master of Arts degree in education from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA, and a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA.
