URGENT NOTICE TO PARENTS/COMMUNITY

LEONARDTOWN , MD – There is a potential incident in the Leonardtown community that has caused St. Mary’s County Public Schools to institute a temporary lockdown at Leonardtown High School, Leonardtown Middle School, and the Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center for the protection of the students and staff at those schools.  This is a non-school related issue taking place outside of the schools on the Leonardtown campus. All students and staff within the school buildings are safe and secure and are attending their regular schedule of classes.
