NOTICE TO PINEY POINT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL COMMUNITY

LEONARDTOWN , MD – A power outage was discovered at Piney Point Elementary School this morning, Monday, June 2, 2008.  The outage was caused by an oil overflow in the boiler room of the school. The building has been ventilated, and SMECO is restoring power to the building.  Students are being held on their buses as they arrive to school and are being supervised by teachers and staff.  They are expected to enter the building at 10:00 a.m. where classes will resume as normal.  The pre-kindergarten field trip scheduled for today will take place as scheduled.
