GREEN HOLLY ES NAMED “TOP ENERGY SAVER” FOR THE SECOND TIME

LEXINGTON PARK , MD – For the second time this school year, Green Holly Elementary School has captured the Energy Flag.  The school, which was also the top energy saver for the month of January, achieved top energy savings for the month of March 2009, with a 25 percent reduction in electric consumption compared to March 2008.  This is a savings of 16,320 kilowatt-hours, which equates to $1,250.00.

The flag was presented to the school on May 7, 2009.  The flag will be flown at the school for approximately one month. After that, it will be presented to another school that has achieved this honor.  Congratulations to Green Holly Elementary School on being named the “Top Energy Saver of the Month.”
