-- On May 6, 2009, Dr.
Michael J. Martirano
, superintendent of schools, announced the selection of Mrs. Patricia DeCarlo, para-educator
at
Park
Hall Elementary School
, and Mr. Warren Trossbach, HVAC IV in the Maintenance Department of the Division
of Supporting Services, as St. Mary’s County Public Schools’ Educational Support
Professional of the Year for 2009. This year, the honor is being shared by two individuals
who have provided outstanding support to the school system and the community.
Also recognized
was Mrs.
Susan Tippett
, secretary II in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, who
received honorable
mention for her contributions to the school system and community.
The Board of Education of St. Mary’s County will recognize all nominees and
winners at their meeting of May 26, 2009.
