DYNARD E.S. TO PARTICIPATE IN

NATIONAL CHERRY BLOSSOM PARADE

CHAPTICO , MD – Dynard Elementary School announced today that it, like Ridge Elementary, will be participating in the upcoming National Cherry Blossom Parade on Saturday, April 12, 2008, in Washington, D.C.

Under the direction of music teacher Tracie Wiesemann, 20 students from Dynard Elementary will be joining a mass choir of 700 regional students who will march in the parade and perform a medley of “Let There Be Peace on Earth” and “We Are the World” in front of the White House.

According to Ms. Wieseman, Dynard’s students and parents have been anxiously awaiting this opportunity and are thrilled that it is only a few days away. 

The parade will be televised Saturday morning.  Check your local listing for the channel and time.
