RIDGE E.S. TO PARTICIPATE IN

NATIONAL CHERRY BLOSSOM PARADE

RIDGE, MD – RidgeElementary School ’s chorus, under the direction of music teacher Sara Zylak , has been selected to participate in the upcoming National Cherry Blossom Parade on Saturday, April 12, 2008, in Washington, D.C.

In addition to marching in the parade, the chorus will perform in a mass choir with other school choirs from the region. According to Ms. Sandra Kerner, principal of Ridge Elementary, the students and their parents are very excited about this opportunity, and are very appreciative of Ms. Zylak for making this happen.

The parade will be televised and can be viewed live on WJLA Channel 7 at 11:00 on Saturday.
