CHESAPEAKE PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL TO HOST EGBERT SAFE RACER CHALLENGE

LEXINGTON PARK, MD -- The Chesapeake Public Charter School (CPCS) will host the 2009 Egbert Safe Racer Challenge on Saturday, April 18, 2009, 8:30 a.m., at the school site located at 20945 Great Mills Road, Suite 501, Lexington Park, MD 20653 .

This engineering challenge is offered to students in public and non-public schools in Southern Maryland , and is designed to promote the development of critical and creative thinking through problem solving, collaboration, and applied core subject skills.  The competition is for students in grades 1-3.  Participating teams should arrive for registration at 8:00 a.m. For more details, contact the school at 301-863-9585.
