LEONARDTOWN HIGH SCHOOL FIRE ALARM
LEONARDTOWN

– At approximately
11:15 a.m.
on
Thursday, April 3, 2008
, the fire alarm went off at
Leonardtown
High School
. Upon investigation, it was determined that a sprinkler head in one of the upstairs restrooms had discharged.
Students were evacuated from the building.
The sprinkler system was secured.
The building was found to be safe for reentry by the fire department.
Students were brought back into the building at approximately
12:00
p.m.
Staff, along with the fire department,
cleaned up the water which was in the bathroom, hallway, and several classrooms. The schedule was adjusted so that all
students were provided lunches. The
students will be dismissed at the regularly scheduled time.
The incident is currently under investigation.
