In celebration of Youth Art Month, an exhibit of outstanding artwork from students in St. Mary's County Public Schools is being shown and receptions are being held at different locations during the month of March.

Sunday, March 9, 2008 - CHANCELLORS RUN ACTIVITY CENTER, 21905 Chancellors Run Road Great Mills, MD  20634   (Reception: 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.)  Students' artwork will be on display all month, Monday - Friday - 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Monday, March 10, 2008 - SOUTHERN MARYLAND HIGHER EDUCATION CENTER AND HOPKINS SCHOLARSHIP, 44219 Airport Road, California, MD  20619 (Reception: 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.)  (Three $5,000 scholarship awards will be presented at the reception.)  Students' artwork will be on display all month, Monday - Friday - 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.   (Based on center's class schedule, please call for other hours - 301-737-2500.)

Monday, March 31, 2008 - CARTER STATE OFFICE BUILDING AND ST. MARY'S COUNTY GOVERNMENTAL CENTER, 23110 Leonard Hall Drive, Leonardtown, MD 20650 Refreshments only in the Carter State Office Building, but both buildings will be open - 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.  Students' artwork will be on display all month, Monday - Friday - 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Monday, March 31, 2008 - DR. JAMES A. FORREST CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY CENTER, 24005 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, MD - GFWC WOMEN'S CLUB OF ST. MARY'S COUNTY EXHIBIT - Refreshments will be available and awards will be presented, 6:00 p.m.

All members of the community are invited to participate in this celebration of the excellence of our fine arts instructional program.
