School Psychological Services

Program Description: The school psychology program provides professionals trained to work with children, adolescents and their teachers and families. The school psychologists participate as key players on several school teams designed to help make education for all children a positive and rewarding experience. Through their knowledge in the areas of mental health, child development, and learning and motivation, school psychologists provide training to school based staff, consult with parents, assess students and deliver direct service through counseling, social skills training and behavior management. School psychologists are also available to help students and families deal with various crises such as separation or loss.
