Summer School OverviewSTUDENTS ELIGIBLE The high school summer school program is planned for public and
nonpublic high school students presently enrolled in grades 9-12 who: All classes will be held at Leonardtown High School.
EARLY DISMISSAL DAYS Classes will be dismissed early after semester exams on July 3
and July 22. Students are expected to follow all summer school rules. The
rules are attached and must be signed and retained at registration. Textbooks will be loaned to students for the duration of summer
school. Students will be held responsible for lost or damaged textbooks. Final grades will be mailed at the end of the second semester. Full payment is due at the time of registration. No registration will be accepted without payment. Checks and money orders should be made payable to: ST. MARY’S COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS. INCLUDE THE STUDENT’S NAME AND PHONE NUMBER ON THE CHECK. Fees per semester, per class, for review courses are: - $75 for students registered in a
school in St. Mary’s County
In the event a summer school student is withdrawn from the
program for any reason, including attendance, a full refund will be given to the
student if the request is made by the following dates: Parents are responsible for providing transportation. All
students must be dropped off and picked up at the student drop-off area located
near the front of Leonardtown High School. Summer school students will use the
entrance at the rear of the building. Parents will also be responsible for
transporting students to locations necessary for Student Service-Learning. Students enrolled in High School Assessment courses are required
to take the corresponding High School Assessment, unless a passing score has
been earned and evidence is provided, as follows: Algebra/Data Analysis on July
28, English 10 on July 29, Government on July 30, and/or Biology on July 31.
High School Assessments will be administered at Leonardtown High School,
8:00-11:00 a.m. |
