Career and Technology Education

Welcome to our website!

Our CTE program offers students a variety of career cluster and pathway options from which to choose.  As a result, students pass a coherent sequence of courses in a single program of study.  This course sequence leads to program completion (CTE completer).  In addition to program completion, students graduate equipped with the 21st Century skills that prepare them for the workplace and/or a post-secondary education experience.  Students are exposed to a wide range of current and emerging "technologies" and work-based learning experiences.

The mission of CTE (to offer programs that “blend” academic, technical, and employability skills) and the high priority that has been placed on the mission attribute greatly to our program success.

Additionally, two key focuses for the CTE program are the wide range of current and emerging "technologies" utilized each day in the numerous work environments and work-based learning experiences.

Please take a few minutes to browse our website.  It will further enhance your knowledge of our program.   Do contact me if you have any questions pertaining to CTE in St. Mary’s County.
