Tech Prep is an exciting opportunity for area high school students to earn free College of Southern Maryland (CSM) credit for successfully completing a sequence of high school career and technology courses.  Tech Prep students can earn free CSM college credit while still in high school, saving both time and money.

 

 What do I need to do to be a Tech Prep candidate?

  • Complete the CSM admissions application and declare a program of study.
  • Order the official high school transcript from your school and attach to the evaluation request form.
  • Send the official high school transcript and evaluation request form to the College of Southern Maryland, Attention to: Tech Prep Coordinator.
  • When all materials are received and evaluated, students will receive a letter and evaluation report that details the credits they receive and how it fits into the program of study.   Students are only eligible for credit(s) if they obtained a cumulative “B” or better and must transfer the credit to the College of Southern Maryland within two years of high school graduation.
  • All materials should be sent to the following address:
