Board of Education Goals and Priorities

The following goals and priorities were re-affirmed by the Board of Education of St. Mary’s County for school years 2002 through 2007:


Increased Student Achievement

Demonstrate progress in developing or modifying curriculum, instruction, and assessments to enable all students to be appropriately challenged to meet the goal of fulfilling their personal potential.


Supportive Partnerships

Encourage the community to be involved in decision-making affecting their schools.


A Safe and Orderly School Environment

Emphasize and promote a safe and orderly work and learning environment.


Effective and Efficient Use of Resources

Ensure the effective and efficient use of school system resources.
