LEONARDTOWN, MD – St. Mary’s County Public Schools (SMCPS) Partners for Success Resource Center for Families and Schools is offering a workshop for parents of students who receive special education services. Some students that receive special education services in SMCPS may be eligible for Extended School Year (ESY) Services during the summer when school is not in session. Wallace Roberts, SMCPS Supervisor of Special Education, will be presenting this workshop. Mr. Roberts will explain the criteria required for students to be eligible for ESY, the variety of ways that ESY services may be provided as well as understanding terms that may be used when discussing ESY at school meetings.
This workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, February 22, 2012, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Board of Education Meeting Room located at 23160 Moakley Street, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
