Everything You Need to Know About Transitioning Out of High School
(but didn’t know to ask)
LEONARDTOWN, MD - The St. Mary’s County Public Schools’ Partners for Success Resource Center for Families and Schools will present a workshop geared toward parents of students who will be exiting high school with a Maryland Certificate of Course Completion. The workshop, entitled Everything You Need to Know About Transitioning Out of High School (but didn’t know to ask), is scheduled for Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. This workshop will be held at the Board of Education Meeting Room, 23160 Moakley Street, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
Dottie Powell, SMCPS Transition Specialist, will present information regarding steps families need to take for successful transitions from school to adulthood for individuals with disabilities.
This workshop is free but registration is required, please contact Susan Shannon at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 301-863-4069. Should the St. Mary’s County Public Schools close for inclement weather; this workshop will be canceled and rescheduled.
