LEONARDTOWN, MD - The St. Mary’s County Public Schools’ Partners for Success Resource Center for Families and Schools is offering a workshop for parents and teachers entitled Writing Successful Individual Education Programs (IEPs) on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at the Board of Education Meeting Room, 23160 Moakley Street, Leonardtown, MD 20650 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. This workshop will be presented by Missy Alexander, Parent Educator from the Parents’ Place of Maryland. Participants in this workshop can expect to gain a better understanding of the purpose of an IEP; the contents of an IEP; what needs to be considered when developing a successful IEP; goals and objectives in an IEP; and what the parents’ role is in developing the IEP.
