LEONARDTOWN, MD - Greenview Knolls Elementary School was selected to receive a 2012 Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grant in the amount of $4,340. Toolbox for Education grants are reserved for approved school improvement projects.  Greenview Knolls will use the funds to continue the development of their outdoor learning center.  The learning center, which is located in the center courtyard of the building, when complete will provide the students with an excellent location and setting in which to study their natural environment. Deb Henry, grade 2 teacher; Mary Owen, media specialist; and Kathy Sheehan, grade 5 teacher, wrote the Toolbox for Education grant as well as developing the vision for the project.
