About the Judy Center

The Judy Center provides services for children age birth through Kindergarten and their families. We work together with our community partners to ensure that children are socially, emotionally, and physically ready for school. Most services, programs and activities are free. Families must live in the Green Holly and George Washington Carver school zones to be eligible for services.

Who is Judy?

judy hoyer

Judy Hoyer was a well-known and highly regarded early childhood advocate in Prince George’s County, Maryland. She believed that the key to school readiness was support services for the entire family in one location. Judy Centers have been established to continue her life’s work. She is the late wife of our Congressman, Steny Hoyer.
