English Language Arts - Secondary
Working from the Maryland College and Career Readiness Standards (MCCRS) in the areas of reading, writing, language, and speaking and listening, ELA teachers and teams choose specific content through which they teach the grade level standards. In our on-grade level classes, the content will consist primarily of short stories, poems, and informational texts in the course anthology, along with longer novels or literary nonfiction and media that are grade-level appropriate.
