How do I become a Mentor

Step 1: If you are interested in becoming a FLOW Mentor, please begin by contacting us at the address below:

Step 2: We will then ask that you complete the following applications and mail, email, or fax them to us:

FLOW Mentoring Mentor Application

SMCPS Volunteer Application (required of all volunteers in our school system)

Step 3: After we have called your references and initiated your background check, we will contact you for a brief phone interview. During the interview we will ask you a few questions, and then arrange a time for a mentor training session. The training takes approximately an hour and a half, and we will work with you to find a convenient time and location to meet.

When we have completed these steps, we will then be ready to match you with your new mentee!
